Davido Goes Live with Davrel on Twitch, Here’s What He Said
Davido recently went live on Twitch with streamer Davrel, and the whole session turned out to be a very lively one.
He was in a playful mood—vibing, talking, and responding to fans without forming anything. It felt more like a normal hangout than a planned interview.
At some point, he started sharing parts of his journey, including how a promoter abroad once turned him down when he was still coming up. According to him, that same person later came back for a booking after he blew up, and this time, the deal was different.
“I collaborated with you first cause your name is also David and what attracted me to you is, you’re the only rich kid streaming and you didn’t let that get to you. You hustle like you’re not from a rich background and I like that”

He also mentioned some artists he’s currently feeling, calling Mavo and Zaylevelten his favourite underground acts right now.
The conversation took another turn when Carter Efe came up. Davrel talked about a recent meetup where things got messy at his place, and Davido reacted to it during the stream.
Later on, Peller joined briefly, and Davido told him to link up with Davrel for something together.
He also gave Davrel his flowers, saying even though he comes from money, he’s still putting in the work. He called him the only “nepo baby” he sees actually grinding in that space.
The whole stream was just free, unfiltered, and entertaining—and fans had a lot to say about it after.
“I’ll never forget when I was coming up they blocked us from entering clubs, the owner of the club assigned one DJ to turn off the African music playing in the club. 3 years later he tried to book me, I knack am bill eh”
