Houthi Drone Hits Ramon Airport in Israel, Civilians Injured

The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) once again issued an evacuation order to Palestinians near the al-Ru’ya high-rise in Gaza City, warning of an imminent airstrike. The military insists the building is being used by Hamas for terror operations. Civilians have been urged to move toward the designated “humanitarian zone” in southern Gaza.

Meanwhile, tensions escalated further after a Houthi drone from Yemen struck Ramon Airport in southern Israel, injuring a man in his 50s and leaving others in shock. According to Magen David Adom, one victim was hit by shrapnel, while another is being treated for acute anxiety. The drone hit the passenger terminal but, alarmingly, no sirens went off beforehand. The IDF has admitted it is investigating how the system failed to detect the drone.

At the same time, the Israeli Air Force confirmed it had intercepted three more drones launched from Yemen. Two never crossed into Israel, while the third entered through Egyptian airspace before being shot down, triggering sirens near the border.

In Gaza, Palestinian media reported that the al-Tawheed Wal Sunna mosque in the Daraj neighborhood was bombed early this morning. Footage showed that civilians were warned before the strike, though the IDF has yet to comment publicly.

Adding to the unrest, two rockets were launched from central Gaza toward southern Israel. One was intercepted by the Iron Dome, while the second landed in an open field. Thankfully, no injuries were reported.
