“I Didn’t Go to School but I’m Successful,” Nenye Uzowulu Tells Critics

Nigerian businesswoman Nenye Uzowulu has responded strongly to critics who mocked her for not having a formal education, making it clear that she is not ashamed of her background.

In a Facebook post dated January 16, 2026, Uzowulu openly acknowledged that she did not attend school but said this did not stop her from achieving success. She explained that she made sacrifices early in life to support her siblings and described those choices as the foundation of her personal and business growth.

Uzowulu highlighted her achievements, saying she has built successful businesses, worked across different countries, and supported many people along the way. She added that her efforts have made both her parents and her husband’s family proud.

Dismissing the criticism, she argued that lack of formal education does not define failure, stressing that while she may be called “illiterate,” she cannot be shamed for poverty or lack of impact. According to her, her life’s work speaks louder than insults.
