Israel Claims Progress in Iran Strikes, Targets Nuclear Sites and Military Commanders
Jerusalem – The Israeli military believes it could neutralize Iran’s nuclear program within the next one to two weeks, according to its latest operational estimates.
Aimed at Eliminating “Existential Threat”
Israel launched its military campaign with a clear objective: to eliminate what it describes as the “existential threat” posed by Iran’s nuclear ambitions and ballistic missile systems.
So far, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) have carried out precision strikes on two of Iran’s key nuclear enrichment facilities—Natanz and Isfahan—inflicting significant damage. In addition, at least nine senior Iranian nuclear scientists involved in bomb development have been killed, and several auxiliary facilities, including command centers and administrative offices, have also been targeted.
Fordo Still on the Radar
Although the fortified Fordo nuclear facility remains untouched, the IDF confirmed that it is listed in their “bank of targets.” Defense Minister Israel Katz indicated that Fordo “will certainly be addressed” in due time.
Iran’s Missile Launch Capabilities Severely Crippled
The IDF reports that around 40% of Iran’s ballistic missile launchers—an estimated 200 units—have been destroyed or rendered inoperative. This disruption is believed to have significantly limited Iran’s ability to retaliate with missile fire in recent days.

Heavy Blow to Iranian Military Leadership
Israeli military sources claim that dozens of high-ranking Iranian commanders have been eliminated, including a large portion of the leadership within both the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) and Iran’s conventional armed forces. Officials state the number of senior officers killed is triple the initial projections.
Gaining Air Supremacy Over Western Iran
Months of covert planning preceded the operation, with the greatest challenge being Iran’s advanced air defense systems. However, Israeli forces now claim full air superiority over western Iran and Tehran, a strategic breakthrough that has enabled deep aerial incursions.

Since the offensive began, 70 Iranian air defense batteries have been destroyed, with 40 systems struck in just the first 24 hours. Another 30 have been targeted in successive waves, paving the way for Israel’s fighter jets and surveillance drones to operate freely.
Ballistic Missile Threat and Civilian Response
The IDF confirms the detection of new ballistic missile launches from Iran. In response, air raid sirens were activated across southern Israel, prompting residents to take shelter. Although there were no confirmed impacts in urban centers, emergency services report no casualties or injuries.
The IDF Home Front Command has reiterated civilian guidelines: gatherings remain banned, all schools are closed, and only essential workplaces may operate. These measures will remain in place until at least Wednesday night, when the situation will be re-evaluated.
