NASA Assigns Astronaut Anil Menon to First International Space Station Mission

NASA, one of the leading space exploration organizations, has appointed astronaut Anil Menon for his first space mission. He will be traveling to the International Space Station (ISS), where he is expected to serve as a flight engineer and be part of the Expedition 75 crew.

According to ANI, the update was shared in a post on X (formerly Twitter) on Tuesday. In the post, Menon also expressed his readiness and excitement to embark on this mission.

As stated in the report, Menon will launch aboard the Roscosmos Soyuz MS-29 spacecraft in June 2026. He will be flying alongside Roscosmos cosmonauts Pyotr Dubrov and Anna Kikina. The launch will take place from the Baikonur Cosmodrome in Kazakhstan, and the crew is scheduled to spend about eight months aboard the space station, as mentioned by NASA and reported by ANI.
