Barack Obama Opens Up About Marriage Struggles Amid Divorce Rumors

Barack Obama, the former President of the United States, has confessed that he’s making efforts to recover from a “deep deficit” in his relationship with his wife, Michelle Obama, amid ongoing divorce speculation.

He made this remark while speaking to students at Hamilton College.

During the conversation, Hamilton College President, Steven Tepper, asked the 63-year-old what he has been engaged in lately.

Obama responded by saying that he has primarily been dedicating time to working on the second volume of his memoir.

Describing the task, he remarked, “It feels like writing 50 term papers. It just never ends,” adding that he hopes to complete it soon.

In addition, the former Democratic leader admitted, “Honestly, I found myself in a serious deficit with my wife, so I’ve been trying to climb out of that hole by occasionally doing enjoyable activities.”

Speculation about the Obamas’ marriage has been swirling for months, and Barack Obama fueled the rumors further when he attended both the late President Jimmy Carter’s funeral and Donald Trump’s inauguration without Michelle by his side.

Obama also commented on Trump during his Hamilton College appearance, expressing disbelief at what the former Republican president has managed to get away with.

“Just imagine if I had done any of that,” he told the students.

He further added, “It’s beyond belief that the same groups, who remain silent now, would have accepted such behavior from me or many of my predecessors.”
