Sad Story of Nigerian Woman Abused by Husband After Relocating to UK for Love

What was meant to be a love story turned into a nightmare for a Nigerian woman who thought she had found her life partner. She left everything behind in Nigeria, believing in the promise of love, and moved to the UK to start a new life with her husband.

Barely two months into her relocation, the reality of the marriage shifted. The man she trusted began to unleash violence on her. She recounted being punched in the face, strangled by the neck, and insulted with cruel words called names like “bitch,” “animal,” “fat,” and even “Nigerian scammer.”

In her words, she tried all she could to keep the home together. She apologized for things she didn’t even do, hoping peace would return, but instead, the abuse grew worse. What she thought was love became a cycle of fear, pain, and humiliation.
