Teddy A Opens Up on Lingering Effects of Viral Domestic Abuse Rumour
Reality TV personality, Tope Adenibuyan, widely known as Teddy A, has shared details about a difficult period in his life following a viral allegation that accused him of assaulting his wife, actress Bamike “Bambam”.
Wiz9jablog reports that the former BBNaija star spoke during an appearance on the WithChude Podcast, where he described how the claim — which circulated widely online — falsely suggested he physically abused his wife during her pregnancy.
Recounting the incident, Teddy A said the rumour began spreading while everything at home was normal, noting that his wife was relaxed and watching a movie at the time the story surfaced online.
He explained that the situation became clear after his phone suddenly became flooded with alerts and reactions from social media, leaving him surprised and confused about the source of the accusation.
According to him, Bambam became visibly emotional as both of them tried to understand how such a damaging story emerged.
The reality star revealed that he was advised not to respond publicly, with the belief that the matter would fade over time. However, he admitted that the decision to remain silent later affected how some people viewed him.
Teddy A stated that despite the allegation being untrue, the rumour continues to resurface online, with some social media users still referencing it whenever he and his wife share posts together.
He noted that the experience was emotionally challenging, as it created a false perception about his personality and reputation.
