About the Role
This scholarship is offered as part of a collaborative initiative within the AI for Chemistry group, under the leadership of Associate Professor Bernd Ensing. You’ll work closely with experts from the Vascular Cell Biology group and the Molecular and Material Design Technology Hub at the Faculty of Science.
The focus? Developing cutting-edge machine learning methods for drug discovery, with hands-on work in molecular modelling and computational chemistry.
Who They are Looking For
You’re the right fit if:
You hold a recent master’s degree in AI (specializing in natural sciences) or in science fields like chemistry, pharmaceutical science, chemical engineering, or physics, with a focus on machine learning.
You’re curious, creative, and driven.
- Experience in geometric machine learning or molecular simulation is preferred.
- Skills in (bio-) molecular modelling are a plus.
- You write and speak English fluently.
- You’re a strong programmer with good time management skills.
Scholarship Benefits
Monthly salary ranges from €3,059 in the first year to €3,881 in the fourth year.
- Contract: 4 years (18 months initial, extendable)
- Bonuses: 8% holiday allowance + 8.3% year-end bonus
