Viral Video of NYSC Corps Member Beaten and Stripped in Anambra Sparks Outrage

The story of Jennifer Edema Elohor, a female NYSC corps member, has shaken many Nigerians after it surfaced that she was brutally attacked in Anambra State by armed vigilantes.

The shocking incident took place on July 23, 2025, when men of the Operation Udo Ga-Achi, popularly called the Agunechemba Vigilante Group, invaded a lodge where corps members were staying. What followed was violence, humiliation, and an experience that left Jennifer deeply scarred.

A video that later went viral, posted by the Haven 360 Foundation, showed Jennifer bleeding, stripped naked, and left defenseless as the vigilantes manhandled her and other corps members. The operatives accused them of being internet fraudsters, even though the corps members presented their official NYSC ID cards as proof of who they were.

The foundation condemned the incident, stressing that Jennifer suffered the worst of the brutality beaten, humiliated, and left covered in blood. It further described the assault as a violation of her dignity and basic human rights.

According to the organisation, the victims were not only physically attacked but also subjected to degrading threats and dehumanizing treatment. The disturbing clip has since triggered outrage across social media, with many demanding justice for Jennifer and her fellow corps members.
