Schlumberger Foundation Fellowship 2025 – How Women in STEM Can Apply
The Schlumberger Foundation Faculty for the Future Fellowship is back for the 2025–2026 session, opening doors for women in developing and emerging countries who want to pursue advanced research in STEM disciplines.
This fellowship is focused on addressing the underrepresentation of women in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics by giving them the funding, support, and opportunities needed to study at leading universities around the world.

About the Faculty for the Future Program
Launched in 2004 by the Schlumberger Foundation, this fellowship has grown into a global community of more than 860 women from 90+ countries. The vision is clear: create an environment where more women can step into scientific disciplines and lead change in their communities.

Who Can Apply?
You may be eligible if you:
- Are a woman from a developing country or emerging economy where women in STEM are underrepresented.
- Do not hold dual citizenship with a developed country.
- Are preparing for a PhD or Postdoctoral program in STEM (Master’s programs are not funded).
- Have already applied, been admitted, or are enrolled in a host university/research institute abroad.
- Have a strong academic record and proven teaching or research background.
- Are willing to return to your home country after your studies to contribute to education, STEM entrepreneurship, or public sector leadership.
- Can show leadership, community engagement, and commitment to encouraging girls and women into STEM.
Note: If you don’t meet these requirements, your application will not be considered.

- Reputation of the host university.
- Clear commitment to return home after studies.
- Plans to contribute through teaching, research, STEM entrepreneurship, or policymaking.
- Relevance of your research to your home country’s challenges.
- Evidence of leadership and outreach that inspires women into STEM.
