They’re looking for a highly motivated Master’s student to join a multidisciplinary research team. Your role will mostly focus on data management and analysis, but depending on need, you might also get to do some field work.
This isn’t just research for the sake of research—you’ll be working alongside academic experts, wildlife agencies, and real-world community stakeholders.
Here’s what you’ll be doing:
- Leading a study on historic bird mortality patterns (especially waterfowl) around the Great Salt Lake using necropsy and related data.
- Assisting in a postdoctoral study focused on avian botulism, where you’ll help:
- Build a response plan for outbreaks
- Combine historical bird population and hydrology data
- Develop epidemiological models to identify risk factors and solutions
Who Can Apply?
